in the development of Yangjiang knife
清《冯氏族谱》载:“……冯大将军之墓生平所用八十二角鹅眉宣锦大刀纳于家中”。
The "Feng Clan Genealogy" of the Qing Dynasty writes: "... The eighty-two-horned goose-brow Xuanjin knife used by General Feng ."
这把“八十二角鹅眉宣锦大刀”即阳江俗称的“大杀刀”，据传是公元612年冯盎随隋炀帝伐辽时,委托在阳江北甘山下打铁造刀的工匠麦可信和他的儿子麦崇喜赶制的。
This knife is commonly known as the "big killing knife" in Yangjiang. It is said that when Feng Ang followed Emperor Yang of the Sui Dynasty's expedition to Liao in 612 A.D., he commissioned the craftsman Mai kexin and his son Mai Chongxi, who made iron knives at the foot of Mountain Beigan, to make a knife for him.
两名工匠经过82次试验，偶然悟出了淬火秘技，终于造出了一把软硬适中、削铁如泥又不卷刃的大刀。
After 82 experiments, these two craftsmen accidentally got the secret skill of quenching, and finally created a large knife that was moderately soft and hard, cut iron like mud and did not roll.
为了铭记这82次试验，父子俩在这把108斤重的大刀上锉上82道波浪形饰纹,并修饰成鹅鼻状，装上酸枝木柄,辗转交到了冯盎手上。
In order to remember these 82 experiments, the father and the son filed 82 wavy ornaments on this 108-Jin knife, decorated it into a goose nose, installed a rosewood handle, and handed it to Feng Ang.
此后，这把大刀伴随冯盎南征北战，屡立战功。
Since then, this big knife accompanied Feng Ang's southern expedition to the north and made many achievements.
阳江刀的发展有着悠久且灿烂的历史

has a long and splendid history.
一千四百多年前，巾帼第一英雄冼夫人屯兵阳江，制作兵器， 制刀工艺
便开始大规模在漠阳大地流传。
More than 1,400 years ago, Mrs. Xian, the first female hero , gathered troops in Yangjiang to make weapons, and the knife-making technology began to spread
on a large scale in the land of Moyang.
海上丝绸之路造就阳江刀具制造的繁盛，“打铁巷”让阳江的刀剪向规模化发展
The Maritime Silk Road has led to the prosperity of the production of knives in Yangjiang,and the iron lane has led to the large-scale development of Yangjiang's knives.
建国后，阳江刀剪生产由合作社到国营小刀厂，再到大批刀剪技术骨干另起炉灶，民营企业崛起，产业集群迅速壮大。
After the founding of the People's Republic of China,the production of knives and scissors in Yangjiang went from cooperatives to state-owned knife factories, and then to a large number of knife and scissors technology backbones build up their own factory.Private enterprises rose and industrial clusters grew rapidly.
随着时代的变迁，阳江刀剪人以生生不息的进取精神开拓创新，由传统走向现代。
With the changes of the times, Yangjiang knifives and scissors have been innovated from tradition to modern.
时至今日，阳江已发展成为中国刀剪之都。刀剪产量约占全国总产量的75%，出口约占全国出口量的85%。阳江小刀制作技艺已被列入广东省非物质文化遗产名录。
Today, Yangjiang has developed into the capital of knives and scissors in China.
The production of knives and scissors accounts for about 75% of the total national output, and the export accounts for about 85% of the national export volume. Yangjiang knife making skills have been included in the Intangible Cultural Heritage List of Guangdong Province.
阳江小刀，名扬四海，享誉全球。
The knife of Yangjiang is famous all over the world and enjoys worldwide reputation.
